Springsteen al "Concert for Progress on Race in America"

Il prossimo 18 novembre Bruce Springsteen sarà a Los Angeles per partecipare all'evento benefico "Shining a Light: A Concert for Progress on Race in America". Il concerto, al quale parteciperanno vari artisti tra cui anche Sting, verrà ripreso dall'A&E Networks e trasmesso due giorni dopo, il 20 novembre. Il luogo del concerto, lo Shrine Auditorium, è legato ai due leggendari concerti acustici che Bruce tenne ormai 25 anni fa, precisamente il 16 e il 17 novembre 1990, per il Christic Istitute. Quella del 18 novembre sarà la seconda apparizione ufficiale e seguirà il concerto che si terrà il 10 novembre a New York per il tradizionale "Stand Up For Heroes". Occhio però a stasera e domani sera: allo Stone Pony di Asbury Park si esibirà Joe Grushecky per celebrare i 20 anni dell'uscita di American Babylon che, come sappiamo, è un album "speciale" della sua discografia.

Il prossimo 4 dicembre Santa Claus arriva in città, portando il tanto atteso The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, un box contenente 4 Cd e 3 DVD (o 2 Blu-Ray). Al suo interno potremo trovare, oltre a varie "chicche" mai ascoltate e al doppio album The River ritirato a lucido per l'occasione, anche il famoso album singolo pronto e non pubblicato del '79. I 3 dvd (2 Blu-Ray) invece conterranno "The Ties That Bind", un "making of" dell'album con immagini in studio delle registrazioni e il concerto di Tempe del 5 dicembre 1980. Nel box è incluso anche un book (25x30) con oltre 200 fotografie. E' già possibile ordinarlo su Amazon.
